Overview

If you've booked a solar installer, the scaffold is usually the bit that has to happen first — and the bit that can hold the whole job up if it slips. We've built our business around making that step painless: a phone call, a fixed price, and a crew on site when promised.

Most domestic installs in Lancashire need a standard run of scaffold along the gable or front elevation, with edge protection at the eaves. We put it up in 2–3 hours, sign-tag it, and leave it ready for the installer — then dismantle as soon as panels are commissioned.

For commercial roofs, larger detached homes, or trickier access (overhanging trees, awkward gardens, listed-building constraints), we'll do a quick site visit and design a scaffold that lets the installer work safely without surprises on the day.

Our process

Four steps. No surprises.

    Free site survey

We visit or get the details over the phone, then send a transparent fixed-price quote within one working day.

  2. 02

    Plan & schedule

We confirm dates, drop off the kit, and align with your installer or builder so nothing waits.

  3. 03

    Safe erection

Our CISRS-certified scaffolders put the scaffold up to spec, sign-tagged and ready to work on.

  4. 04

    Strike & clear

When the job's done, we dismantle, sweep up, and leave the site exactly as we found it.

FAQs

Common questions

Do I need scaffolding to install solar panels?

In the vast majority of UK domestic installs, yes. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require safe access for anyone working on a sloping or high roof — and almost every reputable installer will refuse to fit panels without it. We're the scaffold side of that arrangement.

How much does solar panel scaffolding cost?

For a standard domestic terraced or semi-detached install in Lancashire, expect £400–£700 covering erect, one week's hire and dismantle. Bigger detached homes, awkward access or extended hire periods are quoted individually. We send fixed-price quotes within one working day — read our full cost guide for more.

How quickly can you get scaffold up?

For pre-booked installer jobs, next-day availability is the norm. For one-off enquiries from homeowners we typically schedule within 2–5 working days depending on location and crew availability.

How long can I keep the scaffold up?

Standard hire periods are one to two weeks, which covers most installs. Longer periods are no problem and quoted at a fair weekly rate — solar installers we work with regularly book 2–3 weeks on bigger jobs.

Are you CISRS-certified and insured?

Yes. Every scaffold we put up is erected by CISRS-certified operatives, and we carry £10m public liability insurance on every job. Documentation is available on request.
